Cultural Awareness Workshop

November 14, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$30
There are lots of people who proudly call Australia home. Many have ancestors from other countries that form part of their family tree. If you are one of those people, have you ever wondered what it is like to stand in the shoes of Australians whose ancestors form an unbroken line of living on this land for millennia? Have you ever wondered what our post colonial history looks like from their “First Nations” perspective? Having answers to these questions helps define who we are as a modern nation and gives us the best chance of all moving forward together.
By attending this workshop, you will discover a new perspective. The Histories of South Australia cultural engagement programme is supported by the State Government through the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The Clarendon Community Association is proud to offer this opportunity to our community, and also thank the City of Onkaparinga for their sponsorship. The workshop will be run by accredited providers who themselves are members of the Kaurna community. The insights that are offered through this workshop will help create a stronger sense of understanding from an authentic traditional owner perspective.
Tickets are $30 and spaces are limited. To secure your place please email secretary@cca.clarendon.org.au
